Sulfasalazine Delayed Release Tablets USP<\/strong> belong to the aminosalicylate class of anti-inflammatory medicines<\/strong>. They are designed with a special coating that allows the drug to release slowly in the intestines, reducing stomach irritation and improving effectiveness.<\/p>\n

Mechanism of Action:<\/h3>\n

Sulfasalazine is broken down in the colon into 5-aminosalicylic acid (5-ASA)<\/strong> and sulfapyridine<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
