Mebendazole is used in the treatment of worm infections, schistosoma infections, diarrhea, periodontitis, liver abscesses, intestinal amoebiasis, hepatic amoebiasis and filariasis. Mebendazole affects the permeability of the cell membrane thereby killing the worms.
